Egg White Oats
My all time favorite breakfast. And those of you who have tried it seem to agree. I have a tutorial in my story highlights with a step by step guide on how to make these guys but thought I would write it out here, too. And if you make them, share them on insta with the hashtag #meggwhiteoats
What you need:
-1/2 cup oats
-6 tbsp (1/4 cup + another half of 1/4 cup) liquid egg whites
Put the oats in a microwave-safe bowl and add enough water to barely cover them. Mix and microwave for 1 minute. Take out, mix, and add in the egg whites. Mix again. Microwave in 30 second increments, mixing in between each increment until desired texture is reached. I like mine super cakey so it takes 3-4 30-second bouts.
Optional- add stevia or maple syrup to sweeten, just mix it in when they’re done. You can also add cacao powder, ground flax, etc, at this point.
Lately I’ve been loving them plain with peanut butter and strawberries or banana, or with yogurt.
